<b>Caffeine</b> is considered the most commonly used psychoactive drug in the world. It is estimated that approximately 80% of the world's population consumes caffeine on a daily basis. The most common dietary sources of caffeine are <b>coffee</b>, <b>soda</b>, <b>tea</b>, and <b>chocolate</b>. After ingesting caffeine, it is completely absorbed within 30 to 45 minutes and then its effects diminish within about three hours. As many caffeine drinkers can attest, when you ingest high levels of caffeine, you may feel your mood soar and then plummet, leaving you craving more caffeine to make it soar again. While caffeine is eventually excreted so there is no accumulation in the body, it has been shown to adversely affect mood, stamina, stress levels, the cardiovascular system, and gastric health, to name a few.<br />

<b>10 Consequences of Caffeine Consumption</b><br />

<b>1.</b> Caffeine is highly addictive. Like other drugs, caffeine causes a chemical addiction within the brain. Quitting coffee or soda can create withdrawal symptoms - headaches, sleepiness, irritability, anxiety - while the brain's chemistry readjusts.<br />

<b>2.</b> Caffeine exacerbates mood disorders in adults and children. Mood disturbances such as anxiety, depression, irritability, and attention disorders are aggravated by chronic caffeine consumption. Rather than increasing mental activity as many caffeine drinkers believe, caffeine actually decreases blood flow to the brain by as much as 30% and negatively impacts memory and mental performance. Continued stimulation of the adrenal glands can ultimately lead to adrenal exhaustion, which leaves a person vulnerable to a variety of health problems including autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. Because of chronically increased stress hormone levels, caffeine consumption can render some incapable of making healthy responses to the stressful situations that occur in their daily lives.<br />

<b>4.</b> Caffeine accelerates bone loss. Caffeine causes the urinary excretion of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and trace minerals, which can lead to osteoporosis.<br />

Caffeine stimulates a temporary surge in blood sugar creating a quick burst of energy; however, increased blood sugar triggers an insulin spike, which ultimately causes a sugar crash within hours. <li>½ teaspoon finely ground cinnamon (<strong>dalchini</strong>) taken every night along with 1 cup of <strong>milk</strong>.</li>
<li>Make a mixture of 1 teaspoon each cumin (<strong>jeera/zeera</strong>) powder & <strong>sugar</strong>. Take with warm <strong>milk</strong> after dinner everyday for a few days.</li>
<li>Boil 2 teaspoon cumin (<strong>zeera</strong>) seeds in ½ cup of <strong>water</strong>. Filter it. Now Mix it in ½ cup of <strong>milk</strong> and 1 teaspoon <strong>honey</strong>. Drink once a day for a few days.</li>
<li>Boil 2 teaspoon fennel seeds (<strong>saunf</strong>) in barley water and then take twice or thrice a day.</li>
<li>Grind a handful of bitter gourd (<strong>karela</strong>) leaves into a fine paste and apply this paste on breasts.</li>

Women often have unwanted facial hairs, that appears on the upper lip, chin and sides of the face and sometime on chest as well. It happens due to the harmonal imbalance. There are various options to remove unwanted hairs at home i.e. waxing, tweezing, threading, bleaching, shaving, and even depilatories and electrolysis. You can also try making a homemade of removing facial hair that is cheap, safe and effective. You can easily prepare your own facial bleach from the ingredients which are easily available in your kitchen. Following are some homemade hair removal that will ensure you remove unwanted facial hair.<br />
<ol>
<li>Make and a sticky paste of <strong>Egg White</strong> blended with <strong>Sugar</strong> and <strong>Corn Flour</strong>. Then apply this paste on your face and let it dry. When it dries, gently peel it off. To get good results, repeat this 3 to 4 times a week.</li>
<li>Make a paste by mixing 1 cup <strong>sugar </strong>(cheeni) 1/4 cup <strong>lemon juice</strong> and 1/4 cup <strong>water </strong>(paani) . Then apply this paste on your face in the same direction of hair growth. Leave it to dry and when it dries, wash with cold water.</li>
<li>Make and apply a paste of <strong>gram flour</strong> (besan) with <strong>milk</strong> (dudh) or <strong>water</strong> (pani). You can combine this paste with a pinch of <strong>turmeric powder</strong> (haldi) and 1 tsp of <strong>fresh cream</strong>. Then apply this mask over the face and let it dry. When it dries, scrub it off softly in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Use this remedy regularly to get result significantly.</li>
<li>Make a paste by mixing 4 tsp of <strong>honey</strong> and 1 tbsp of fresh <strong>lemon juice</strong>. Apply the mixture to your face in the direction of hair growth. Wash it after 10-15 minutes. To get good results, follow this home remedy at least twice per week.</li>
<li>Make a smooth paste from 2 tsp. of <strong>lemon juice</strong>, 3 tsp. of <strong>milk cream</strong>, 2 tbsp of <strong>gram flour </strong>(besan), and 1 tsp. of <strong>turmeric </strong>(haldi). Then apply this paste on your face and leave it for 15- 20 minutes. When it dries, scrub it off gently then wash off with warm water.</li>
<li>Make a paste from <strong>turmeric</strong> (haldi) with <strong>milk</strong> then apply it on your face for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes Rub softly, using circular motion of your fingers and then rinse it off with cold water.</li>
<li>Make a paste by mixing 1 tbsp of <strong>Sugar</strong> and ½ tbsp of <strong>Corn Flour</strong> in a whole <strong>Egg</strong>. Apply this paste on your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. When it dries, gently scrub it off in opposite direction of hair growth. Then wash the face with clear water. For best result repeat the process 3-4 times per week.</li>
<li>Take <strong>spearmint tea</strong> daily. Recent research has shown that spearmint tea may be used as a treatment for hirsutism (excessive hairiness) in women. It reduces the level of free testosterone in the blood. It is also good for digestive system.</li>
<li>Flutamide 250mg twice daily and an oral contraceptive pill for one year is an effective treatment for hair removal BUT dont use this medicine without consulation with doctor.</li>
<li>If you want to make a <strong>homemade wax</strong> then make a mixture from two cups of <strong>sugar</strong>, one fourth 1/4 cup of <strong>water</strong> and one fourth 1/4 cup of <strong>lemon juice</strong>. Heat this mixture over a low flame and stir regularly until you get a thick brown liquid which is your wax. Once the wax has cooled down to a temperature that you are comfortable with, you can apply it onto your skin and place a clean cloth or waxing strip over it. Once it has cooled down completely pull the cloth or strip in the opposite direction of hair growth so that the hair is pulled from its roots. Make sure that you apply ice (baraf) and astringent to the waxed area to tighten the pores.</li>
<li>One of the oldest methods of hair removal used is <strong>sugaring</strong>. It can be done at home by taking one cup of <strong>sugar</strong> and mixing it with the juice of half a <strong>lemon</strong>, <strong>molasses</strong>, <strong>corn starch</strong> and a bowl of <strong>honey</strong>. Now you start off by mixing lemon, honey, sugar and molasses in a bowl and keeping the mixture in a microwave for about 2 to 4 minutes or till you get a smooth consistency. You can also heat up the mixture over a low flame. Now apply corn starch over the area you need to wax and then apply the mixture over it. Corn starch will help in smooth removal of hair. Place a cloth or waxing strips over the area and pull it out once it has cooled down.</li>
